How to pick a good skill
The catalogue shows the signals. Here's how to read them.
- Installs — how many people actually use it. The strongest single signal.
- Stars — community endorsement of the creator's work on GitHub.
- The creator — every skill links to a real GitHub profile. A publisher with followers and a track record is staking a reputation.
- The “best for” line — match it to your actual job, not the most impressive-sounding one.
And the simplest filter of all: start with one job you do every week and can judge in fifteen seconds. If the skill nails that, trust compounds from there.
